You Should Consider being a Youth or Adult Mental Health First Aider!

Are you an adult? If your answer is yes, please consider taking either the Youth Mental Health First Aid Training or the Adult Mental Health First Aid Training!

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach how to help an adolescent (ages 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge, or is in crisis. Download the Youth information flyer here.

Adult Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. Download the Adult information flyer here.

Each training class consists of a two-hour, self-paced online class and then an online Zoom session led by an instructor. Zoom sessions are from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for Youth and 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for Adults on various dates in April, May and June.

For more information about this free training–offered virtually, please visit the UW-Madison WiROSE website.
