OSHA Dairy LEP Continues into 2017

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will continue the Wisconsin Dairy Local Emphasis Program (LEP) for 2016-17.  There were no significant changes to the LEP from last year. Now is a good time to review the LEP and work on safety plans for 2017.

Here is a Quick Glance at the Dairy LEP Quick Glance LEP 2017 final

Form 300A Should be Posted Now

A reminder that Form 300 A should now be posted for any farm or business that has 10 or more employees. It is to be posted February 1 to April 30, 2017. Recordkeeping Form 300A is a “Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses.”  Reviewing this form is another valuable tool to use for improving your safety program for 2017.    Your Worker Compensation Insurance claims are helpful too but these differ from the OSHA Recordkeeping requirements. Check that causes of these serious injuries and illnesses were assessed and corrections to hazardous conditions were made.
