We are offering an exciting opportunity to sponsor the Wisconsin Dairy & Beef Well-Being Conference.

Rather than having one dairy and beef well-being conference location, The University of Wisconsin-Extension will be hosting a 2019 Wisconsin Dairy Well-Being Conference Series with a dairy emphasis in four locations throughout Wisconsin in March and April. It is our intent to foster smaller group sessions that include interactive, hands-on activities.

To help achieve these goals, a team of excellent speakers will travel to each location to discuss current well-being concerns of Wisconsin’s dairy farmers. All locations will feature Jennifer Van Os, the University of Wisconsin Dairy Welfare Specialist presenting Dairy Calf Management to Foster Socialization That Improves Growth and Performance.

Additional topics covered at each location include:

  • Understanding and Practicing Pain Mitigation Techniques When Dehorning/disbudding Calves
  • Research Validated Technologies That Enable Cattle Comfort
  • Understanding Normal Cattle Behavior and Stockmanship
  • A locally identified dairy well-being issue pertinent to that area

Final details, brochures and other information regarding the 2019 WI Dairy Well-Being Conference Series will be posted soon.

The Sponsorship Benefits are the same as last year, only the benefit applies to every location, or the sponsor can choose which locations they would prefer to attend.
