This blog is provided through a partnership between UW – Extension’s Regional Natural Resources Program and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a tool for Wisconsin’s Beaver Management Task Force both to inform you and to obtain input from you.
The Task Force met for the first time in July, 2011 to begin the process of making recommendations to update Wisconsin’s 1990 Beaver Management Plan. Before digging too deeply into the issues and crafting recommendations, the Task Force wanted to obtain input from stakeholders. In September, 2011, four public meetings were held throughout the state in LaCrosse, Oshkosh, Rhinelander and Hayward. On October 25, 2011, a webinar is being offered for those who were not able to participate in the live meetings around the state. Additionally, a stakeholder questionnaire is available on-line. Click on the “Your input, please!” tab to access the questionnaire.
