American Community Survey (ACS) Data Profiles Demographic, economic, social, and housing profiles are available through the U.S. Census ACS.
NOTE: Unlike the ten-year census that attempts to count every individual, the ACS is a sample survey. Because some of the samples are relatively small, it is important to pay attention to the margins of error and statistical significance of the data. The census has produces some excellent handbooks to help users under the data and use it properly. Pay special attention to the appendices that includes the formulas needed to calculate the correct margins of error and test for statistical significance.
