In a recent presentation, UW-Extension Dairy Reproductive Specialist Paul Fricke shares Four Keys to Achieving a 30% Pregnancy Rate in a 30,000 lb Dairy Herd.  The four keys include:

  • Aggressively inseminate cows at the end of the voluntary waiting period
  • Increase fertility to first AI
  • Identify nonpregnant cows and aggressively reinseminate them
  • Increase fertility to 2nd and greater AI
