In a recent presentation, UW-Extension Dairy Reproductive Specialist Paul Fricke shares Four Keys to Achieving a 30% Pregnancy Rate in a 30,000 lb Dairy Herd. The four keys include:
- Aggressively inseminate cows at the end of the voluntary waiting period
- Increase fertility to first AI
- Identify nonpregnant cows and aggressively reinseminate them
- Increase fertility to 2nd and greater AI
