The Dane County 4-H Dog Project is excited to host the Canine Discovery Days Educational Meeting (in person or Zoom option) on January 22nd from 10am – 12:30pm. This meeting is REQUIRED if you wish to train your dog through the Dane County 4-H Dog Project in person Obedience and Showmanship training starting in May. The Zoom portion will run from 11:15am-12:30pm.

At Canine Discovery Days you will learn about what to expect at training and we have some exciting sessions this year!! The agenda for the day is as follows.
10am – 11am : Small group Sessions
- Dog Treat Making – Learn how to make easy and simple treats at home and save some money!!! Also makes for a great 4-H Project!!!
- Control on Leash – Learn how to focus your dog’s attention on you
- 101 Things with a Box – Learn about how to shape your dog’s behaviors without forcing them
11:15am – 12:15pm Large Group Session
- What to Bring to Check Days in February/March
- Delivering Treats
- Practicing Makes for a Happy Dog and You!!!
- Get Treat Bags
12:15pm – 12:30pm : Question & Answer
