Community gardens are all around us. They are created at schools, churches, community housing projects, parks and many other locations in Douglas County. They provide growing space for individuals, families, and those in need. We’d like to thank the volunteers and organizations that provide the work, space, amendments and sometimes plants and seeds to help with these projects. Our goal is to help the community become more aware of these valuable sites and encourage residents to get involved.
If you know of or are involved in a community garden, send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will post them here. Also, visit the Community Garden page on our website at http://bit.ly/29UURrk for more information.
