There are several Farmers Markets in Douglas County and that serve Douglas County residents:  Watch here for information on opening dates, types of produce and other products for sale, days and times they are open.

Winter Markets

The Hayward Indoor Farmers’ Market

Open second Saturday of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hayward Community Library (Sherman & Ruth Weiss Library).

Here are some of the vendors and their products: (subject to change)

FUTILITY FARMS – natural beef, chicken, pork, lamb, eggs – no growth hormones, no antibiotic, no chemicals on the land

HICKORYHILL COUNTRY BAKERY – assorted baked goods – sweet breads, yeast breads, cookies, bars, strudels, cinnamon & caramel pecan rolls, granola and pies.

MICHAEL SCHULTZ – maple syrup and an assortment of jams and jellies.

GLORIA’S HERBAL BATH – Goat milk soap and hand cream, herbal salves.

DONNA DUBIEL – Avon, vegetables, maple syrup, herbs, flowers, garden seeds, jam & jellies, kimchi & other canned goods.

NorthLakes Community Clinic/North Star Homestead Farms Year Round Market

NorthLakes Community Clinic offers a farm market in collaboration with North Star Homestead Farms

Open the first and third Thursday from 10am-2pm throughout the year.  The market is located in the waiting area at NorthLakes Hayward Clinic. The address is: 11128N State Highway 77, Hayward, WI 54843

North Star Homestead Farms has an aquaponics system, so they are able to bring fresh veggies all year round. They also always have, local cheeses, meats, eggs frozen fruits and the special bonus of homestead made gellato.

Open Saturday, 8 am – Noon, June – October.  Located on Barker’s Island.

Open Wednesday, 11 am – 2 pm, June – October.  Located in the north parking lot next to the library in downtown Superior.

Weekly Farm Market/Flea Market at Wentworth Gardens – South Range

 Open every Tuesday from 2:30 to 6:00.  Located at 4474 Wentworth Rd, South Range, WI 54874
Fresh produce, herbs, pies, breads, jellies, jams and salsas, GMO free eggs, Flea Market
$5.00 charge per seller per week.

                NW Minnesota Farmers Markets that accept SNAP/EBT

Lincoln Park Farmers Market – Duluth

Open 4-7 pm at the Harrison Community Center, located at 3002 W. 3rd St.

We accept Cash and Credit/Debit/SNAP-EBT. We use a wooden token system for easy payment. If you use SNAP benefits, we’ll match you one-to-one, up to $15/week.

UMD Market Days – Duluth

Open every Tuesday from 12 p – 4 pm, 1120 Kirby Drive in Duluth

Accepts SNAP/EBT cards, Debit and Credit Cards.  SNAP Participants can use their EBT Cards for groceries, transplants & seeds!

Entertainment (music) from 12 pm – 2 pm.  Check website for weekly selections.

Open Wednesday, 2 pm until 6 p.m. and Saturdays 7 am until Noon

1324 East Third Street in Duluth

There is no centralized EBT station at the Duluth Farmers Market, however, there are individual vendors that are authorized to take EBT.  Customers should look for the EBT sign posted at the booth.
