A: According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s, OnTheMap, 127,283 jobs (64.5 percent of all
jobs) in Madison in 2008 were filled by people living outside the city. A total of 62,018 jobs in the city (31.4 percent) were filled by people living outside of Dane County.
