As county office websites make the transition to the Block Editor and the Discovery theme, many Site Administrators have been excited to take the opportunity to redesign their home page.

In this Guided Build Session, Jason from ETS will walk you through just how easy it is to make a custom home page, similar to what has already been done in Dunn or Taylor Counties. Attendees can build along on their own sites (or practice sites) and ask questions as we go.

Follow Along

To follow along on your own site:

This session expects that you’re using the Block Editor (required) and the Discovery theme (highly recommended).

Need help switching to the Block Editor or Discovery Theme?

To follow along on a practice site:

Before the session, simply create a new practice site on our Training Server.

If you’re feeling really ambitious, you may want to come prepared by having some high quality images available that reflect your areas of programming, county office, or other information you want to highlight on your new homepage. We’re big fans of Pexels, but here are a few other trusted resources for Finding High Quality Images.

Note: The focus of this session is on county office websites, but anyone who uses the Block Editor is welcome to join and follow along.

If you have questions about this Guided Build Session, contact Jason LeMahieu.
