Don’t have answers to the “How do I” questions your teen asks anymore?

That’s okay because you can still help your teen seek out and connect to resources that support his or her passions and interests, like learning a new language or becoming a pilot.

Be an eParent®! Help your teen identify and access apps or websites that can help develop new skills or explore new interests.

Teens test and build their capabilities in many ways. Your son may explore his interest in rap by practicing beatboxing around the house. Your daughter might check her endurance by training for volleyball or soccer. While potentially different from skills you can teach your teen, exploring new hobbies and talents is one way your teen is building an individual identity. You can direct your teen’s curiosity and learning by helping her find online resources, such as WikiHow, that can teach new skills or support interests. The knowledge and skills learned through exploring teenage interests could influence college and/or career choices.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has a great website for teens exploring career options.
