2020 Market Beef Initial Weigh In

Save the date for Saturday, January 4, 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds for the Market Beef Initial Weigh-in and Identification. 

For the beef weigh-in:

  • All steers must be castrated by excisional or banding (crimping will not be allowed) and done two months prior to the initial weigh-in.
  • Animals must be fully healed and have no physical sign of testicles at the initial weigh-in.  
  • If there is any question at time of initial weigh-in regarding the castration of an animal, the exhibitor has the option to request a veterinarian’s opinion (at the exhibitor’s cost) regarding castration before the animal leaves the grounds.
  • Weigh-in forms will be available at the weigh-in.
