The demographics of the United States are shifting dramatically. People live longer and need more services, baby boomers retire in large numbers, millennials attempt to fill the void. With challenges such as health care, transportation, and the funding of government, the future of local government is uncertain, tumultuous, or both. This presentation will focus on megatrends and their implications for local governments.
