Lincoln County 4-H Cancellation Policy

With the arrival of another winter storm, we wanted to remind everyone of the policy for the cancellation of Lincoln County 4-H programs (county, club and groups) that was adopted by the Lincoln County 4-H Board of Directors in January 2014.

Lincoln County 4-H Cancellation Policy

Lincoln County 4-H Programs (county, club and groups) are automatically canceled if, in Lincoln County or the county where the event is scheduled to occur:

1. Schools close early or are canceled
–OR–
2. the National Weather Service has issued a WEATHER WARNING (Winter Storm, Wind Chill, Tornado, Blizzard or Severe Thunderstorm Warning) for that county.

Remember we’re in the business of teaching youth to be safe.  That includes knowing when to stay home.

When possible, cancellations of county programs will be posted on the Lincoln County Extension website home page http://lincoln.extension.wisc.edu/ and the Lincoln County 4-H blog https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/lincolncounty4h/ .  Check with your club leader to see how your club notifies members of club cancellations.
