A Greener Garden: Eco Friendly Gardening Trends

Where: 212 River Drive, Rm. 1, Wausau, WINicole Stephens is a proud Master Gardener Volunteer. She comes from a long line of gardeners and farmers and is especially inspired by heirloom gardening. Nicole has lived in and visited a variety of climates and countries and is always inspired by nature. As a child she worked in the historical gardens in Rhinelander. Nicole is the chairwoman for the MGV project at the Woodson Museum garden. She is the proud “Mother of Chickens” and was instrumental in getting Wausau to allow backyard chickens last year.You will learn about:
* Aquaculture
* Biodynamic Growing
* Edible Landscaping/Foodscaping
* Hugelculture
* Hydroponics
* Lasagna Gardening
* Straw Bale Gard

The cost to attend this program is $5.00 per person. North Central Wisconsin Master Gardener Volunteers may attend at no cost. Pre-registration is required due to limited seating.
