It happens every year, the dreaded home invasion of bugs!  As harvest progresses and temperature cool off, we see the migration of bugs into our homes.  The good news is there are things you can do to prevent this from happening.  In the meantime as a temporary measure, you may be in search of a local pest control expert.  We can’t recommend any one business, but we can show you where to find folks that have training in safety and proper handling of pesticides.

The first place you can check is the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s (DATCP)  Pesticide Business Listing website.  This populates a list based on your city, county, or zip code.

The second place you can look is the Wisconsin Pest Control Association Business Listing.  This website allows you to populate a list based on businesses that serve your county.  The Wisconsin Pest Control Association works with WI DATCP and the UW-Extension entomology lab to complete professional development related to pest management.
