Wisconsin honors the impact of 4-H youth during National 4-H Week October 4-10

University of Wisconsin-Extension 4-H Youth Development clubs and groups across the state will celebrate the ways 4-H has changed their lives and communities during National 4-H Week October 4-10, 2015. County programs will host open houses and introductory events to raise awareness about 4-H and the many ways Wisconsin 4-H youth and adults give back to their communities.


Marathon County Junior and Manitowoc County Senior Teams top 2015 State 4-H Livestock Contest

The State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest was held on Monday, July 27 at the Lodi Agricultural Fairgrounds in Lodi, WI. This was a new location for the annual venue that allows the top junior and senior county 4-H Livestock judging teams the opportunity to apply their skills in evaluating beef, swine, sheep and meat goat classes in hopes of qualifying for a national livestock judging event this fall.


Applications are available for the 2015 National Dairy Conference

Applications are now being accepted to represent Wisconsin at the National 4-H Dairy Conference on September 27 through October 1, 2015 in Madison, WI. More than 200 students from 30 states are expected to attend the conference where they will learn about new farm technologies, dairy processing, how to be an advocate for agriculture and careers in the dairy industry.
