Gale Childs
Crawford County 4-H Volunteer
Gale Childs has been a leader in the Crawford County 4-H program for 44 years. She is in her 35th year as General Leader of the County Cuzz 4-H Club, of which she was a charter member. She served as treasurer of Crawford County 4-H Leader’s Association for two terms.
She was once called “Mrs. Nice” by her daughter, which sums up her character. She is always there for anyone, especially if they need help. She cares about the positive development of youth in Crawford County. She is dedicated to their success and the success of her local 4-H Club, recruiting youth and helping them succeed every step of the way – even giving 4-H’ers rides when needed!
Gale is active in her church group and helps with the Mt. Zion Community Bible School every summer. She has been a role model in Crawford County 4-H for over four decades and now has the pleasure of being a role model for her great-grandchildren.
