Heavy Rain

The heavy rain we’ve been having can affect your garden in many ways.  It can wash nitrogen out of your soil,
causing your plants to turn yellow or off color and have poor growth.  Consider giving your garden an extra shot of nitrogen to counteract potential deficiencies.  Also, if your garden has flooded, there could be some contamination of certain produce  so care should be taken before eating it.  See UW-Extension’s fact sheet on Safely Using Produce from Flooded Gardens at: UWEX Horticulture Website
