Keeping Youth-Adult Partnerships Fresh and Effective

This article answers the question:  “What are the fundamental strategies that organizations can take to ensure that youth-adult partnerships are sustained over time?”

This article, Strategies for Sustaining Quality Youth-Adult Partnerships in Organizational Decision Making: Multiple Perspectives summarizes lessons learned from youth in governance, youth commissions and organizational improvement efforts, and youth organizing.  What we have found is this: sustaining Y-AP required constant attention, but if a strong foundation is put in place at the beginning, sustaining quality Y-AP can become more of a routine matter.
