Why Youth Stay or Leave Community Programs

This research, Qualities that Attract Urban Youth to After-Shool Settings and Promote Continued Particpation conducted by Strobel, Kirshner, O’Donoghue and McLaughlin, identifies organizational strategies to attract and retain youth in community programs.   Opportunities for youth voice, leadership, and respectful adult relationships are critical.
