This year’s conference will be hosted in downtown Madison, where there is easy access to a wide variety of restaurants and food carts to meet every dietary need. We’re not including lunches or dinners at the conference intentionally so you can take advantage of the wonderful food scene here and try different places that appeal to you. Madison has a plethora of restaurants, with highly celebrated chefs on the cutting edge of the farm-to-table dining and local foods movements and an amazing diversity of ethnic cuisines (grad students unable/uninterested to go back to their countries often open restaurants here). For an outsider’s perspective on “this amazing gastronomic town” read Madison, Wisconsin; A Delicious Destination or “Why Madison, Wis. is a top foodie paradise“.
