Market Livestock Identification-Ear Tag Distribution for All Species

February 12, 2022 | 9 am to 12 noon | Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds
With the cancellation of the Market Beef Initial Weigh-in, and numerous requests from other species to receive ear tags prior to selecting project animals from breeders or sales, the Market Livestock Committee will be distributing ear tags for market beef, sheep, swine, and meat goats on Saturday, February 12, 2022, 9 am to 12 noon at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.

To be eligible to qualify for the 2022 Fond du Lac County Market Livestock Sale, project market animals must be identified with proper paperwork and photos submitted by March 1, 2022, for Market Beef, and April 15, 2022, for Market Sheep, Swine, and Meat Goats. Breeding stock beef and sheep do not need to be pre-identified for the fair. Information regarding submission of information will be provided at the time of ear tag distribution and on the located at Market Livestock Project website at https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/fdlmeat/educational-requirements/.

If you are unable to pick up your ear tags on February 12, please contact chairperson Ed Schrauth at 920.960.8106 or via email at eschrauth67@gmail.com to make other arrangements.
