UW PAT Program Website Got a Makeover

Historically, the Private Applicator system was implemented by the County Extension Office. The UW PAT Program based in Madison focused its webpage, blending both commercial and private applicators. In November 2022 a larger portion of the Private applicator system was adopted by the UW PAT Program’s Madison group.

It was identified that our web page was unable to clearly provide information for these two different groups combining them. Also, commercial applicators and private applicators have slightly different processes to get certified. The combination of the two was determined to be a wee bit confusing. The new design of the web page will separate these two types of applicators apart. Information will be provided to the private applicators separately from the commercial applicators. The new page will have the following menu changes:

If you are a commercial applicator or private applicator, you will have a separate path to information that doesn’t muddy the waters. The information will be focused on whichever direction you make.

Each path will then provide information on how to get certified, the categories offered, information about certification and licensing if needed, and the exams and provide specific tools for those two major groups.

We are also going to be working on the store to separate the two types of applicators. However, that will take longer to do.

As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact the UW PAT Program.
