Check your certification expiration date to ensure you are legally certified to apply pesticides in Wisconsin in 2025. You can find the expiration date on your physical certification card or through the Wisconsin applicator database by searching your last name. Certification is good for 5 years.
Is your certification expired or expiring soon?
Follow these steps:
- Attend an optional training
- Schedule your certification exam
For more information about the process for private and commercial applicators, check out the PAT website.
Commercial Applicators
Commercial applicators must maintain a valid Individual Commercial Applicator License and Pesticide Business License, if applicable. Unlike certification, these licenses expire each year on December 31. You can apply for or renew these licenses through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protections: https://datcp.wi.gov/Pages/Licenses_Permits/CommercialApplicator.aspx.
