Commercial – Training / Review Sessions
General Instructions:
- Live training/review sessions are typically held from January through May. Occasionally there are sessions outside these months.
- You must pay the training fee and get your training materials before attending a training/review session. This can be purchased at the PAT Store.
- Registration for a live training/review session or Zoom training is required. Walk-ins will not be allowed and Zoom registration ends once invites have been sent, usually 2 days before the Zoom.
In-Person Training / Review Sessions:
Training/review sessions are optional and not required. You can get your training materials (manual), study on your own, and take the exam when you feel you are ready.
- The commercial test will be proctored by DATCP. You will have to present your PAT number found either on your E-ticket or printed training registration certificate to have your certification test scored.
- Registration is required. No walk-ins will be allowed. If you are not registered for a training/review session, you will be sent home.
- If you can’t attend you must contact the PAT Program at least 48 hours before training for transfer or credit. Without proper notice, credits will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may be denied. No refunds will be issued if notice is given more than 24 hours after the training session has occurred
Zoom Sessions:
- You will need access to a computer or tablet with a good internet connection. Zoom is also available as a mobile app.
- You should not need a Zoom account to attend.
- You must have audio to be able to hear presenters.
- You will be emailed a Zoom invitation with a password to attend a few days before the session. Registration will close when these invitations have been sent.
- To register for any of the Zoom training /reviews, please go to the PAT Store and choose the desired category.
- To cancel or transfer you must contact us BEFORE the invitations have been sent. Once the invitations have been sent refunds will not be issued for missed Zoom Sessions.
- NOTE: The UW PAT Program is a part of the University of Wisconsin and must abide by all rules in place for your safety and the safety of its employees. The UW PAT Program has NO say in any rules or any changes to those rules.
- If training sessions are canceled due to these rules (weather conditions) you can be transferred to another training if one is available or you can get a refund. We will also have to abide by the rules of the venue.
- On rare occasions, due to severe weather or for reasons out of our control (e.g. the bankruptcy of the venue) the session can change location or be canceled. If this occurs, you will be notified via email when the decision has been made. It is your responsibility to monitor your email for updates and changes, especially if a weather event is predicted.
