County Testing Sites
Not all County Extension Offices are able to provide the Private Applicator Certification exam. Below is a list of participating counties that are providing the Private applicator exam. Although you do need to purchase the training materials, you do not have to pay for the exam when taking the exam at a County Extension office.
Exams at County testing sites are by appointment ONLY. Please contact the participating County Extension Office below to find out test dates/times and to reserve a seat.
The private company Pearson VUE also provides the Private Applicator test. To set up a Pearson VUE account, schedule a test or find a testing center near you – https://home.pearsonvue.com/wi/agriculture
When taking the exam through Pearson VUE:
- You still need to purchase a training manual at the PAT Store.
- Pearson VUE provides your test results right after the exam and your certification will be sent to you via email within 3 business days.
- The exam costs $45.
- You need a score of 70% or greater to pass. Attending a training does not reduce the passing score.
- A copy of your manual will be embedded in the on-screen test. Pearson VUE does not allow printed manuals to be used while testing.
