Community for a Lifetime: Elder-Friendly Community Assessment

Global Age-Friendly Cities

“Global Age-Friendly Cities” is a Guide published in 2007 by the World Health Organization (WHO).  The Guide reviews 35 cities world-wide with regard to eight basic issues: (1) Outdoor space and buildings, (2) transportation, (3) housing, (4) social participation, (5) respect & social inclusion, (6) civic participation & employment, (7) communication & information, and (8) community support & health services.
