Find out how YOU can become a River Ambassador in Milwaukee!

Groundwork Milwaukee invites you to join our River Ambassadors Program.  As a River Ambassador, you will have an opportunity to attend a variety of outdoor events this summer to:

  •  Educate event attendees about all the great improvements that have taken place throughout Milwaukee’s Area of concern (AOC) to restore our water quality.
  • Offer suggestions of simple ways that people can improve our Milwaukee’s AOC.  Attendees can pledge to be active in improving the health of our waterways by taking step(s) we share with them.

After participating in a training session, you will have the opportunity to attend some of Milwaukee’s best summer events and engage with community members (admission costs will be covered for events that charge admission).

By sharing the simple ways people can improve our water quality, volunteers will be able to take part in a vital way of providing long term, sustaining improvement of our area’s water ecology.

Ambassador training sessions will be held at the Milwaukee Environmental ConsortiumAGL training Todd on:

Monday 7/29        5:30 – 6:00
Monday 08/12     5:30 – 6:00
Please contact Antoine Carter at groundworkac@gmail.com to find out how to get involved or register for the training.
