Finding Who Fills Jobs in a City

In 2008, there were 197,282 full- and part-time jobs in the city of Madison.  How many of those jobs were filled by people living outside the city?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s, OnTheMap, 127,283 jobs (64.5 percent of all jobs) in Madison in 2008 were filled by people living outside the city. A total of 62,018 jobs in the city (31.4 percent) were filled by people living outside of Dane County.
