Bringing the field to you – wherever you are!
Environmental educators and scientists from three university field stations – Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Baruch Marine Field Laboratory at University of South Carolina, and University of Georgia Marine Institute on Sapelo Island – joined together to develop a series of learning modules to support coastal and estuarine science education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The learning modules include educational resources and field methods-based videos, bringing the field to students and learners at home. This project was funded by the National Science Foundation (award #2037372).
