UNH Cooperative Extension provides assistance to communities and organizations to develop public input processes and strategy for outreach and engagement so to encourage community participation in local decision-making about an issue, policy, problem or project.
There are multiple ways to determine your community needs in order to address local issues and challenges. We work with communities to design a process in order to assess local needs. UNH Cooperative Extension provides training to local communities on needs assessment techniques such as:
- Key Informant Interviews
- Focus Groups and Storytelling Circles
- Asset Mapping
