This Extension PowerPoint exercise helps community leaders explore possibilities for the revitalization of their downtowns. Starting with assets in a typical downtown – some retail businesses with vacant second stories, empty stores, and vacant lots, the last slide shows 33 possible strategies that can be employed to revitalize a downtown. Local community leaders grasp this quickly, and are engaged in creative and productive brainstorming and planning in a short amount of time. The PowerPoint is available upon request.
