About Us

Research shows that digital media can be a positive and powerful parenting tool. eParenting® provides parents and other caring adults ways to connect with children and adolescents using digital media. Developed by educators from the University of Wisconsin-Extension Family Living Programs, eParenting® High-Tech Kids helps parents of 9- to 14-year-olds use technology to build and nurture their relationship with their developing teen. Be an eParent® by using this unbiased, research-based resource you can trust from UW-Extension!

Family Living’s unique and effective programs are developed using university research. Extension educators based in every county and on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus have a direct link to university resources, allowing them to draw from and contribute to current research on families. Educators respond to challenges facing today’s families with evidence-informed programs and knowledge of local issues.  Family Living helps families gain the information, skills and assets they need to improve their quality of life and contribute to their communities.
