Joining 4-H

Joining 4-H is a two step process that must be completed annually beginning each September; enrolling online in 4-H Online. While you can join 4-H anytime, the best time to join a 4-H Community Club is in the Fall so you can participate in 4-H for the entire club year.  If you haven’t selected a 4-H Community Club, choose one that works best for your family from the list below.

Step One: Find a club that fits your Family

All 4-H members must be a part of a club within their county. Click here to explore the clubs in Kewaunee County. Often families join clubs based on location, meeting dates, or project interests. Unsure of which club would be the best fit? Email erin.dahle@wisc.edu before moving on and we can help pair you with a club.

Step Two: Connect with the club you would like to join.

Please contact the club leader of your chosen club and they will direct you to the next steps.

Step Three: Enroll in Extension Kewaunee County 4-H electronically using 4-H Online

Create a family profile and then a member profile for each youth. (This step should be completed by a parent/ guardian with youth present to select 4-H projects.

4-H enrollment is open to any youth in kindergarten through grade 13 (one year past high school). You can enroll in Kewaunee County 4-H at any time throughout the year, however, we encourage you to enroll as soon as possible to take advantage of all the learning and fun throughout the year! In order to show at the Kewaunee County Fair, re-enrolling members need to be re-enrolled online by November 1. Please note that many clubs and projects have requirements in order to exhibit at the Kewaunee County Fair. If you are a new member, you may need to attend four project meetings in order to exhibit, so we are sure you can reach those requirements by fair time! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our club leaders or the Extension Kewaunee County office.
