The Edible Startup Summit focuses on early stage food businesses. Co-hosted by UW-Madison Extension Dane County and the UW-Madison Division of Extension Community Food Systems Program, the state-wide summit offers comprehensive education sessions on what it takes to develop a local food business.
Experts from across the state provided information on a wide range of topics including:
- trends in food business
- how to write a business plan
- food safety requirements
- how to create a unique brand
- business innovation during Covid-19
- how to get a product onto the grocery shelf
- how to work with a distributor
- on-line ordering systems
