Fond du Lac County will be hosting two sessions for Pesticide Applicators Training. Each session will be held 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at UW-Fond du Lac room AE-205/206 with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. The dates will be: Wednesday, February 13 Monday, March 5
The fee is $35 per person which does not include lunch. You may bring your own lunch, eat at the campus cafeteria, or drive to one of the nearby “fast food” restaurants. Fee includes the General Farming manual and a bonus copy of the 2018 A3646 Pest Management in WI Field Crops manual.
If you are unable to attend one of the group training sessions, there is also a self-study option. This option will be $30 which only includes the General Farming manual. It does not include the Pest Management in WI Crops manual. The written examination for the self-study option is exactly the same as the one given at the group training session. The difference is a 70 percent correct minimum exam score is needed rather than 50 percent. The exam must be taken at UW-Extension (you set the day and time). Similar to the group session, it is an open book examination.
For the group sessions, you must pre-register at UW-Extension no later than 1 week prior to the training session. Each session is limited to 50 participants on a first come, first served basis. At registration, you will pay your $35 fee and pick-up the appropriate books and materials. Payment can be completed with cash, check, or credit card (with a convenience fee added). Please have your social security number available when you register.
