Heart of the Farm offers networking opportunities for Wisconsin farm women
UW-Extension invites you to a day away from the farm to connect with women who share the same experiences and challenges on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Millhome Supper Club in Kiel. Heart of the Farm-Women in Agriculture workshop is a University of Wisconsin-Extension program committed to addressing the needs of farm women by providing education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources and creating support networks.
Topics in the upcoming workshop include: agriculture educator Steph Plaster on communication for farm families; Melissa Bender & Scott Gunderson on the new Wisconsin Agricultural Education Center; Cleveland State Bank’s Cari Sabel on finding the perfect recipe for banker relations; Elsie Gonzalez on building a multicultural team; and Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic’s Dr. Lindley Reilly on what’s new in herd health. Completing our day will be WMMB highlighting the perfect cheese and wine pairings.
For more information or to register, please visit Heart of the Farm Conference.
Heart of the Farm is partially funded by a USDA Risk Management Agency cooperative agreement and supported by the UW- Center for Dairy Profitability, UW-Extension and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
