Resources for Wisconsin Farmers Applying for CFAP Payments

The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) requires farmers to convert their 2019 crop production and unpriced crop inventories on hand on January 15, 2020 to dry grain equivalents. Additional UW tools and resources are available.

Farmers can follow these steps to complete the CFAP Payment Application:

  1. Determine which crops grown in 2019 are eligible for payments.
  2. Calculate 2019 production and eligible inventories on January 15, 2020.
  3. Convert each eligible grain/forage crop to it’s dry grain equivalent.
  4. Report dry grain equivalents to your local Farm Service Agency office by August 28, 2020.

Completing the FSA for AD-3114 is not terribly complicated, however there are a few items that can be included for dairy producers that you might want to know about. This video will walk you through the process and show you what can be claimed on a typical dairy farm. Access the 16 minute outlook here.
