Hispanic Workers Training Initiative- Local Dairy Farmer’s Input on Topics and Training Locations

Extension is proud to serve Wisconsin’s agricultural community through our programs and services. As Extension works to support the needs of farms around the state, we are excited to improve and expand the ways in which our agricultural educators share their knowledge, skills, and resources.

María José Fuenzalida and Jackie McCarville, Dairy and Livestock educators, are teaming up to develop and pilot trainings for dairy farms in Dane County and Green County because they understand the need for training programs for new and current farm employees.

One exciting aspect of this initiative is that the trainings will be available in English and Spanish. They will encompass mostly hands-on activities and would last approximately four hours or less depending on the topic that you choose, available November 2019 through April 2020.

To help us with this initiative, we want to get local dairy farmer’s input on topics and training locations.

Please provide your feedback on any topics that would benefit your farm and interest your employees.

PROVIDE YOUR FEEDBACK HERE , we look forward to your responses.

Thank you for your input on this exciting initiative.
