Check out our Facebook group, Rock County 4H Horse & Pony project – Wisconsin, for the most updated information.

The Horse & Pony Project Steering Committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. All members, leaders, and parents are invited to attend.

Please note that the 2020 Horse & Pony Show will be a one day show – the committee is putting together a class schedule to allow for members to still show horse and pony. More details will be available at the annual information meeting. Updates will also be posted on the project Facebook page. If you have questions or concerns, please contact any leader or committee member.

The Georgia Honeysett Memorial Sportsmanship Award will be given to the Horse & Pony project member who has demonstrated the most sportsmanship throughout the year and will be awarded at the Rock County 4-H Achievement Program in November. Georgia was a special horse person who shared her knowledge and caring personality with the Horse & Pony Project members since the 1970’s. She always went out of her way to make sure the members had fun, were safe, and that everyone participated. If there was a shy child, novice, etc., she would take them under her wing and give them the extra attention they needed to make them feel special and confident.  The goal is to raise $1000.00 for this award fund which will sustain it for 30 years. Checks can be made out to the Rock County 4-H Horse & Pony Project and can be given to the Horse & Pony Project Steering Committee or sent to: Trish Branz 5609 West Plymouth Church Road Beloit WI 53511. A receipt will be mailed to you for your donation.  Thank you!
