A Merry DAIRY Christmas!

June Dairy Month Window Display Contest

(Submitted by Lynette Wellnitz, Rock Co. Dairy Promotion Committee)

In honor of the Wisconsin dairy industry, the Rock County Dairy Promotion Council is extending an invitation to local 4-H clubs to participate in a modified version of “June Dairy Month Window Display Contest.”  Wisconsin boasts a rich heritage of more than 150 years of dairy quality and craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation. We will be running our contest in December to help celebrate the Holiday Season.

To participate in the contest, simply find a window at a local business and obtain the owner’s permission to decorate it. Then, use your creativity to promote Wisconsin’s dairy products and alert the public to the importance of the dairy industry using the new theme this year:

A Merry DAIRY Christmas!

Windows can be decorated any time but must be in place by Monday, November 29.  Windows will be judged and must remain in place until December 26. The windows will be judged on neatness, originality, creative design, message conveyed, and overall effectiveness. Remember that you must follow the new theme!

Please note:  All displays must be on an outside window to be seen from the outside sidewalk or street. The 4-H club selected as the top winner will receive a cash award of $75, second place is $50, and third $25.  *All OTHER

4-H clubs participating will receive a $20 gift certificate from Country Quality Dairy for dairy products for their club meeting.*   Winners will be announced in the Rock County 4-H Weekly Update, and checks will be mailed to Club Chairpersons.
