Diversity Action Team Program-Inside the Diversity of Asian America

You can watch the recording on Hedberg Public Library’s YouTube Channel to learn more.

Learning also means leading.  The following are some Action Steps youth can take using a variety of resources.

Self-Educate:  Set your own learning goals and find resources you love to learn with.  For example a website https://asianamericanedu.org/, a book https://socialjusticebooks.org/booklists/asian-americans/a podcast https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2021/04/10-essential-podcasts-from-aapi-creators, a movie https://hedberg.kanopy.com/search

Act: Teaching is leading.  Teach others what you have learned or what you asked to learn.  Passion doesn’t need to be perfect. https://www.aalead.org/youth-voice-and-power-responses-to-aapi-discrimination/

Share Your Voice: When you learn skills, practice them. Here is a great bystander training https://righttobe.org/bystander-intervention-training/
