Growing Future Voters

The Beloit and Janesville Leagues of Women Voters invite you and the young people you work with in 4-H and UWEX to join us for our Annual Forward Together Celebration that will be held online on Saturday, February 12 from 10:30am-noon

The theme of this year’s event is “Growing Future Voters” and will feature Kelly Beadle of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) of Tufts University. Kelly will use CIRCLE’s “Growing Voters” paradigm to share ideas for how to reach and engage young voters. The concept of “growing voters” is based on the premise that when more–and more diverse–young people are politically engaged early in life, they will be more likely to remain engaged in the future and make the electorate more representative of the country.

We believe that this program will be of interest to you. We hope that you will share the attached poster (PDF file) or .PNG graphic with your membership, and will consider posting it in your organization’s newsletter.

The event is FREE and open to the public, but donations to support the  League’s work of providing voter services and education will be gratefully appreciated. More information and event registration can be accessed through the web link and QR code contained in the poster.  Forward Together 2022 Flyer.pdf
