Steps to Becoming a 4-H Volunteer

Are you interested in becoming a Rock County 4-H Volunteer? To become a 4-H Volunteer in Wisconsin, there are four steps:

1.  Enroll online in the 4HOnline database https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in . For directions, please reference the Family Enrollment Guide https://4h.extension.wisc.edu/4h-resources/4-h-online-2-0-family-enrollment-guide/

2.  View the online Mandated Reporter Training through 4HOnline. (For instructions, see https://4h.extension.wisc.edu/4h-resources/mandated-reporter-training-for-4-h-volunteers/)

3. Attend a two-hour VIP (Volunteers in Preparation) Training. To register to attend a VIP Training, please use the following link. See below for training dates.

4. Have a background check done and pass. (Please watch for and respond quickly to an email link requesting permission and information for a background check.)

Are you an adult who enrolled in 4HOnline to become a 4-H Volunteer and needs to complete VIP Training?
If so, there are three upcoming trainings scheduled.
  • 9:00-11:00 a.m., Sat., Feb. 20
  • 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wed., Feb. 24
  • 9:00-11:00 a.m., Sat. Feb. 27

All three VIP trainings will be virtual using Zoom.
