If you are between the ages of 12 and 19 as of Jan. 1, 2022, you are eligible to exhibit in the Junior Livestock Shows at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis! Dates for the Wisconsin State Fair are Aug. 4-14.

Wisconsin State Fair YQCA Information
Wisconsin State Fair is pleased to continue of the national certification program “Youth for the Quality Care of Animals” (YQCA) built around foundational pillars of animal agriculture (animal welfare, food safety and character education).
All junior exhibitors exhibiting animals in any Junior Departments must be YQCA certified at the time of entry. The certification must remain active through the dates of the Fair.
The YQCA certification program is a national education program built around foundational pillars of animal agriculture (animal welfare, food safety and character education). The program is offered online.

The application process for Volunteer Adult Contacts, who supervise Junior exhibitors either in a group setting or as individual independent exhibitors is now open. Application deadline is March 16.

Wisconsin State Fair has summer internship opportunities for dedicated and motivated individuals! They are looking for candidates who have a passion for agriculture, enjoy working with exhibitors, want to learn how to organize competitions and livestock shows, plus experience the best 11 days of summer at Wisconsin State Fair August 4-14, 2022.
Summer Internship Positions Available:
Livestock Coordinator – Assist with setting up and running livestock shows and events.
Exhibitor Education Coordinator – Create and execute exhibitor educational contests and programs.
Fairgoer Education Coordinator – Coordinate the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard along with fairgoer education exhibits and oversee the care of exhibit livestock.
Entry Department – Assist with data entry, exhibitor communication and customer service initiatives.
