Fall Service Projects help make Upham Woods more accessible!

2015-10-08 14_optUpham Woods was very fortunate this October to be visited not by one, but two schools that decided to include a service project in their programming.  In early October, County Line Elementary School’s students and adults applied their enthusiasm and hard work to help build a portable boardwalk.  Then, in late October, EW Luther Elementary School worked for a combined total of over 100 hours on their project, which involved creating easier wheelchair access to our fishing dock and Wacky Water Critters area.  Both County Line Elementary School and EW Luther Elementary School’s work will allow future students, teachers, and chaperones with mobility devices to have more accessibility when joining in on activities like fishing or pond exploration.ew luther service project_opt

Thank you so much to both schools for helping to make Upham Woods more accessible for all learners!
