April 30: Earth Day

Date: Saturday April 30th, 2022
Time: 10am- 2:30 pm
Cost: Free
Registration: Please pre-register if you plan on taking part in the activities. Registration will also be available on-site.

Schedule of Events:

10:00- Event Starts! You are welcome to come at any time to hike the property or join the activities below.

10:20-11:50-Morning Session: Complete a free 4H project! You do not need to be in 4H to participate.

  • Cloverbud Nature Exploration (Youth 5K-2nd Grade)-Explore the small wonders of the woods around us while creating either a bug hotel (bring an empty plastic water bottle) or a nature collection (bring a container/bag for your objects).
  • Nature Journal & Biodiversity (3rd grade and above)- Create a nature journal and learn about the biodiversity at Upham Woods

11:50-12:20- Eat lunch along the Wisconsin River

12:30-1:30- Service Project

  • Invasive Species Pull (All ages)
  • Trail building (10+)
  • Trash Pick-up (All ages)

1:30-2:30- Guided Family Hike
