Upham Woods is excited to host the Wisconsin Youth Water Stories Summit again from August 1-3. Water has impacted so much of our history, culture, and landscape. We will spend 3 days celebrating the relationship the water has with our land and with the critters that inhabit it.
This camp is available to youth ages 8-17 and is available at no cost thanks to an Environmental Protection Agency grant nos. NE 00E02399.
Camp scientists will hike, swim, paddle, and splash along 3 miles of Wisconsin River shoreline. All the while campers will collect data on the macro-invertebrates, test the pH along sections of the river, and write the story of their waterway. At final campfire, campers will share their own water stories about their experience at Upham focusing on science, field experiences, and love for the outdoors.
